Ko Yeong-geun graduated from the Graduate School of Korean Language and Literature at Seoul National University, where he also served as a professor. He is currently an emeritus professor at Seoul National University and an editorial advisor to Morphology, an international academic journal of linguistics. His works include Korean Grammar Theory and Vocabulary Education Theory.
