Son Bomi was born in Seoul in 1980. She began her literary career after receiving the New Writer Award from 21st Century Literature in 2009, followed by the selection of her short story “Blanket” in the Dong-A Ilbo Spring Literary Contest in 2011. Her first short-story collection is To Them, Lindy Hop.

She received the Grand Prize of the Young Writers Award in 2012, and additional Young Writers Awards in 2013, 2014, and 2015, as well as the 46th Hankook Ilbo Literary Award and the 21st Kim Junseong Literary Award.
