(English) He studied history at Kyonggi University and received his Ph.D. from the Academy of Korean Studies for his dissertation titled A Study on Excursions to Royal Tombs during the Late Joseon Dynasty. He is presently working as a professor in the history department at Kyonggi University. He is the author of Military Rituals in the Court of Joseon, and he co-authored A Joseon Monarch’s Way of Using the Military, Yiwangjik, the Office of the Yi Dynasty, and Three Military Divisions at Hangyang.
