Choi Eunmi was born in Inje, Gangwon Province in 1978, and made her debut by Hyundae Munhak in 2008. Her short story collections include A Beautiful Dream ​and The Magnolia War, and her full-length novel is The Ninth Wave. She won the Daesan Literary Award in 2018.
