Ryu Seunghee studied psychology in college, and after taking several detours in life, she decided to work as a graphic novelist after she turned thirty. She works on her graphic novels, writing and drawing every day, and she likes to go for walks with her children. She likes to let her mind wander while walking with them, and she enjoys going back to her desk and drawing the ideas she had while walking. She hopes to write books that will one day find their way to people’s bookshelves and be read from time to time. She has also authored In the Forest of the Country, and for three years she created the serial Nari Nari Gonari for the children’s magazine Gaettong’s Playground. Her short comics have been published on SNS, and in 2013, she received the Today’s Korean Manhwa Award.

In 2013, she received the Manhwa of Today Award, and in 2020, she received the SICAF Children’s Comics Award. Boy Witch Miru is being serialized online at Gaettong’s Playground, a webzine for children’s comics.
