Jang Hui-jeong studied psychology in college and graduate school.

By day, she works in a therapy center, talking with children and helping them with their feelings. By night, she writes stories filled with those same heartfelt emotions.

She received the top prize in the Bir Publishing Children’s Literature Awards for Ji-woo the Finder. Her other books include The Grumpy Diary, Backwards Greetings, How to Be Popular in One Week, and The Playground Mystery.
