Eum Joungwon (F) studied Painting in college, then entered the mountains in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province after graduation to farm and and paint with children at the library.
On 2008, she went on an unplanned trip to Santiago, Spain, a life changing event. Afterwards, Eum started drawing, and published a first picture book, The Sick Sea. Currently Eum illustrates for children's books and interacts with children at the library. Books she has worked on include The Old Man of the Library; Gift from Ganesha; Give Us Water, Dragon King!; and Sewing Nun.
