Having worked in startup companies, Lee Sunjae has met many competent people who strove to make their own way. He then ruminated on how to increase his competitiveness to be able to work for 10, 30, or 50 years, instead of just hoping to get promoted or change jobs. He came to realize that there are many stories to talk about in the world of work besides merely job hunting, promotions, and annual salary, as well as many more choices and endless things to mull over. This book is the result of that insight.
He has written a series at brunch, an online writing platform, and columns for many major newspapers and weekly magazines, and worked as an interviewer related to Seoul City government policies. He has produced various genres of writing and content planning in the course of meeting and interviewing people who pursue meaningful and satisfying work for themselves, in order to collect various case studies and perspectives from their work and lives.
He is now working for service planning and improvement at Trevari, a community service based on reading groups.
