(English) Kim is a professor in the Department of Social Science at the Academy of Korean Studies. His interests include the history of Korean society, political thought, historical sociology, and East Asian studies. He wrote The History of the Korean Modern Labor Movement in 2004, Modern Family and Modern Marriage in 2012, Labor Movement in 2014, The Idea and History of Modern Women in 2017, and Comparative Studies and Perspectives on Modern Korean Society and Korean Studies in 2020.
