(English) Kang Heon was born in Busan and graduated from Seoul National University with a Korean language and literature degree and graduated from the Graduate School of Music at Seoul National University. The author, who once dreamed of becoming a novelist, happened to study music and became a music critic after working in the film industry. Kang was at the helm of various quarterly culture magazines and taught popular music history at various universities for 20 years.
