Born in a small town in Gyeonggi-do province, Kwon used to run around nearby hills and climb up trees to look at the neighborhood. She moved to the city during her school years, but memories of her nature-filled childhood remain as gems in her mind. She studied eastern painting in college and has illustrated children’s books until now. Her illustrations can be found in When the wind blows, Oak trees are great, Wild mice, the Carpenters in the fields of Eulalia, There is no Santa, Grandma’s last guest, Father’s eyes, etc.
