Following her parents, the author moved to Japan in fifth grade, graduated from the Tokyo Korean Elementary School, and attended Japanese public middle and high school. In high school, she was a bold Korean student who eventually became the student president. After returning to Korea, she graduated with a degree in Oriental History at Seoul National University and worked at the editorial department of Kyemongsa. After having two children, she received a Ph.D. from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Graduate School studying the Heian period in Japan 1000 years ago. Currently, she is devoted to writing columns and books while teaching students at the School of Foreign Languages, Baekseok Arts University. Her famous work is A Rabbit is a Bird??: Go Sun Yoon's Japanese Story (Anmok, 2016).
