He was born in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi province, and studied western painting at Seoul National University. He has held two picture book exhibitions of ‘Brazen Family’ with his wife Kim Yoonjeong, and is currently working in the Association of Young Picture Book Writers. Throughout his career, he has published cartoons including The Baby Book of Summer Family, Dad Coming Back, and picture books such as I Am a Monster, A Swimming House, A Butterfly Lives in My House, What Are You Doing, Mr. Turtle?. He won the Manuscript Contest of the 20th Changbi Good Children’s Book with Summer Family’s Chick Hatching Diary.
