Korea Democracy Foundation is a public organization under the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, established to ‘contribute to the development of democracy by carrying out projects that commemorate the democratization movement and inherit its spirit.’ Major projects include building the Democracy and Human Rights Memorial Hall, holding and supporting commemorative and memorial events for democratization movements, carrying out democratic civic education programs, researching and studying democratization movements and democracy at home and abroad, collecting historical records of democratization movements, and cooperating with domestic and foreign relevant organizations.
