(English) Choi Jin-young was born in 1981. She began her career as a writer in 2006 when she won Silcheon Munhak New Writer Award. Her works include the short story collection The Top and the novels The Name of the Girl Who Brushed Past You Is…, The Never-Ending Song, Why Did I Not Die, The Proof of Ku, and To the Warm Horizon. She is the winner of the 2010 Hankoreh Literary Award and 2014 Shin Dong-yup Prize for Literature.

(Japanese) 2006年『実践文学』でデビュー。小説集『カタツムリ』、『冬休み』、『一週間』、長編小説『あなたのそばを通り過ぎたあの少女の名は』、『終わらない歌』、『私はなぜ死なないのか』、『太陽が沈むところへ』、『今こそ姉に』、『私になる夢』、中編小説『クの証明』、短編小説『非常口』などがある。ハンギョレ文学賞、シン・ドンヨプ文学賞、万海文学賞、ペク・シンエ文学賞を受賞し、2023年、理想文学賞を受賞した。
