Jae-Dam Lee graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine and earned his PhD in Medicine from Osaka City University in Japan. Lee served as a visiting professor of Harvard University Science History class, a professor of Biochemistry class from University of Ulsan Medical School and Humanities and Social Medicine class, as well as the Dean of the University of Ulsan Medical School, and the Vice-Chancellor of Ulsan University. Lee wrote columns about the history of medicine on Korean newspapers Chosun Ilbo and Munhwa Ilbo, and is the author of many books, including A Concise History of Medicine, The History of Western Medicine, History of Medicine, as well as the translator of several books Stress and Your Body, The Development of Modern Medicine, Medical Ethics: Accounts of the Cases that Shaped and Define Medical Ethics, A Short History Of Medical Ethics, and others.
