Gang Wonhee (M) was born in Seoul and majored in English Literature at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. He received many awards, including MBC Creative Children's Story Award and Sejong Children's Literature Award. Books he has written include The Lion from Bukcheong; Tagger and Reed Organ Songs; Scarecrow with a Medal; Tears of Little Blackie; Wind Oh, Do You Know; ​and Genius Painter Lee Jungseop and Children. His poetry books include Trees that Want to Fly and Footprints Taken by the Wind.
