(English) Born in the February of 1993, Kim ChoYeop is a Korean novelist. She has majored in chemistry and earned a master's degree in biochemistry at Pohang University of Science. She mostly writes science fictions. She made her literary debut by winning the grand prize for the second Korean Science and Literature Awards with Irretrievable and If We Can't Go at the Speed of Light, with which she won won the 43rd Today's Writer Award in 2019, as well. As of June 2021, more than 200,000 copies of this book were sold, making her a best-selling author with the very first publishing experience.
In 2020, she won the 11th Young Writer Award with Cognitive Space, which was published in an SF literary magazine, or bookazine, Today's SF.

En 2017, elle a remporté à la fois le Grand Prix littéraire de la SF coréenne dans la catégorie “romans court et nouvelles” et la mention honnorable avec ses œuvres intitulées Mémoire cachée et Si nous pouvions pas aller à la vitesse de la lumière. En 2019, la romancière est devenue 43e lauréate du prix de nouvel esprit littéraire avec son roman Si nous pouvions pas aller à la vitesse de la lumière. En particulier, son nombre d’exemplaires vendus a atteint 200 000. Avec un tel succès, la romancière est devenue l’auteure de best-sellers grâce à son premier recueil de nouvelles. En 2020, elle a reçu le Prix du jeune écrivain pour sa nouvelle intitulé Espace cognitif publiée sur La Science-Fiction d’aujourd’hui, le magazine de la SF.

Pada tahun 2017, Ia mulai aktif berkarya setelah memenangkan penghargaan utama dan runner-up dari Penghargaan Sains dan Sastra Korea ke-2 untuk 「Kehilangan di Dalam Gedung」 dan 「Jika Kita Tidak Bisa Pergi dengan Kecepatan Cahaya」.
