Bắt đầu từ tác phẩm Mặt trời phương Nam của đài SBS, tiếp theo đó là sự thành công của Chuyện tình Paris, Chuyện tình Prague, Người tình, Nữ thị trưởng, Khu vườn bí mật, Phẩm chất quý ông, Người thừa kế, Hậu duệ mặt trời, Yêu tinh, Quý ngài ánh dương.  

(English) Kim Eun-sook, original author of Dokkaebi, is a TV drama writer who graduated from the Seoul Institute of Arts with a degree in Creative Writing. Starting from the SBS special drama South Of the Sun, Kim has created TV dramas that gained huge popularity for their own unique set-ups and vivid characters, including the Lovers Trilogy (Lovers in Paris, Lovers in Prague, and Lovers), On Air, The City Hall, Secret Garden, A Gentleman's Dignity, The Heirs, Descendants of the Sun and Mr. Sunshine. Kim received the TV Screenwriting Award at the Baeksang Arts Awards in 2005 and 2011. In 2016, she won the Writer's Award at the KBS Drama Awards and the President's Award at the Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards.
