(English) Ryu Ji-Woo majored in media public relations and visual design at university and studied picture books at the Picture Book School of Sangsang Publishing Company. After five years of working at an advertising agency, she started writing and illustrating picture books. Cloud Factory is her first picture book, which was inspired by her dog Ddangkong. Selected as a writer for the “Un-printed Idea” Exhibition sponsored by Hyundai Museum of Kid’s Books & Art, she exhibited her picture book Fox Fur Muffler. She also published the serial webtoon “Ddangkongtoon,” which describes her daily life with her companion dog on Storyjam, a mobile webtoon platform, and on Instagram.
