(English) He is an aesthete, philosopher, and art critic who studies art and beauty. He was a professor at the Department of Fine Arts at Hongik University and is currently a professor at the Department of Aesthetics at Seoul National University. He studied aesthetics at Seoul National University and received a Ph.D. in philosophy with a focus on art interpretation at Temple University in the United States. He edited and translated the selected works of aesthetics and has written several books including "Pluralistic Aesthetics," "Pragmatic Aesthetics," "Aesthetics of Life," and "Beyond Art: Aesthetics.
