Born in Seoul in 1994, Lee Hye-in studied Clothing and Textiles at Hanyang University. After working at a game company, she began creating picture books. She describes entering the world of picture books as an unexpected joy—like meeting a new friend. The Great Snail Race is her third picture book as both author and illustrator. Her other works include Let’s Wash Together! and Do You Know Poop?
