Graduating from the graduate school of Korean Language Education at Kyunghee University, Mun Sunee won the annual spring literary contest by Munhwa Ilbo with her children’s poem Father in 1996 and the Noonnoppi Literary Award with her children’s poem Star in the same year. In 2000, Mun received the grand prize in the long story category of MBC Creative Children’s Story Award with My Secret Diary. Mun also received the grand prize in the creative script contest category of the 9th Changbi ‘Good Children’s Book Award’ with The GMO Children in 2005. Mun has written My Secret Diary, Jackie’s Earth Trip, The Diary of Yangpa the School Girl Bullies, The Last Gift from My Mom, Into the Bug Hole, My Friend Kang Manki and My Friend Hedgehog.
