The contributing authors are as follows: Shin Jongwon (Emeritus professor at the Academy of Korean Studies), Lee Changsik (Professor at Semyeong University), Kang Seokgeun (Visiting professor at Sungkyul University), Kim Dohyeon (Cultural Property Advisor at the Cultural Heritage Administration), Jo Kyungcheol (Visiting professor at Yeonsei University), and Kim Jinkwang (Director of Culture and Contents at the Academy of Korean Studies).

Shin Jongwon, the lead author, received his Ph.D. in history from Korea University. He was a professor at Kangwon National University and is currently an emeritus professor at the Academy of Korean Studies. He has authored Research on Buddhism of early Silla period, Imperial Cult in Korean Shamanism, A Deeper Look at Samguk Yusa, and many others.
