Before starting her career as an illustrator, Myoung-jin Jeon studied at the Some Institute of Picture Books. With Moon House Burning, a book she wrote and illustrated, Jeon won the Gand Prize at the 4th Anthony Browne and Hanne Bartholin Picture Book Awards. Books she has illustrated include Warm and Mysterious Stories of Flowers in History, ​The Goblin and the Golden Coin, Mirror Girl, Royal Ancestral Ritual Music of Jongmyo Shrine for Calling God, Balloon Whale and Name Thief.
