(English) Gwon is a professor at Busan University of Foreign Studies. He studied history at Kyungpook National University and received his PhD in literature at the Academy of Korean Studies. He worked as a member of the National Institute of Korean History, National Research Foundation of Korea, and Northeast Asian History Foundation. He is the author of A Study of Silla People in Tang, The Inscriptions on Metal, Stones, and Wood from Ancient Korea, and The Diplomatic History between Ancient Korea and China. He co-authored The Inscriptions in Korean on Metal, Stones, and Wood Discovered in China and co-translated Samguk Sagi into modern Korean.
