(English) Byungju Shin received his master’s and doctorate degrees from the Department of Korean History at the Graduate School of Humanities at Seoul National University. After being a curator at Gyujanggak at Seoul National University, he became a professor in the Department of History at Konkuk University. The main area of his research is the history and culture of the Joseon Dynasty, and he strives to make history accessible to everyone. From 2013 to 2014, he was a regular panelist on the podcast Park Sibaek's Annals of the Joseon Dynasty. He was also the host of a TV show History Journal on KBS1, and an advisor on KBS's History Investigation, TV Joseon Dynasty Annals, History Special, and EBS' History Theater.
