Ven. Dobeop left Geumsansa in 1966 and practiced at various Seon centers for the next thirteen years. In 1990, he created an organization called “Seonwoo doryang,” which led the Buddhism purification movement. Ven. Dobeop also served as an abbot at Silsangsa, beginning in 1995. Establishing the Lord Indra’s Net Life Community in 1999, Ven. Dobeop expanded his activities into areas such as Life Cooperation Association‧Alternative Educationand the ‧Life and Peace Movement. In 2004, he left his role as an abbot and embarked on a pilgrimage for life and peace, asking for alms along the way. During the next five years, Ven. Dobeop walked about 1,200 km, meeting 80,000 people to deliver the value of life and peace. In 2010, he managed a parish and came back to Silsangsa in 2018 where he currently runs the fourfold and village communities. Ven. Dobeop is also a standing representative at the Lord Indra's net life community and serves as the elder master at Silsangsa, located on Mt. Jirisan.
