Kim Hankyu (M) acquired his Bachelor's, Master's and Ph.D degrees in history from Sogang University, and is currently honorary history professor at Sogang University. Books he has written include 古代 中國的 世界秩序硏究 (1982), 古代 東亞細亞 幕府體制 硏究 (1997), History of Korea-China Relationships I, II (1999), Tibet and China - The Historical Understanding of the Relationship (2000), The Historical Relationship Between Tibet and China (2003), History of Liaodong (2004), 天下國家 - East Asian Order of the World in Traditional Eras (2005), 使朝鮮錄 Studies (2011), and East Asian History Debates (2015), and he has translated 使朝鮮錄 全5卷 (2011).
