Wan-gi Kim studied microbiology and received his bachelor's degree and master's degree from Seoul National University. After he earned his doctorate from UCLA, he worked as a researcher at National Institues of Health (NIH) in the United States. Now he is a professor at Ajou University. Won-ja Choi received bachelor’s degree in biology from Ewha Womans University, master’s degree in microbial biochemistry from Seoul National University and doctorate in molecular biology from USC. Now she is a professor at Ewha Womans University.
