Kwon Seok-cheon was born in Seoul in 1967. Kwon studied law in college and landed himself a job at the Kyunghyang Shinmun newspaper agency in 1990. He later transferred to JoongAng Ilbo where he served as the head of the legal team and the 2nd reporting team before moving up to the positions of Director of the Reporting Division at JTBC broadcasting network and editorial writer for JoongAng Ilbo. As of 2020, Kwon currently works as a director and is the head of the reporting division at JTBC.  To date, he has written Please Give Us Justice and I Have an Objection to the Supreme Court.
