Lee Sue’s deep emotions and insights came about by experiencing the departure of her beloved, which spurred her to start drawing. She explores the meaning of life by dealing with life and death in an attempt to give people comfort and sympathy through her illustrations. She learned the language and structure of picture books at Some Institute of Picture Books (SI). She was selected as Illustrator of the Year at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in 2024.​
