The author studied East Asian painting in college and works with children through drawing. She was chosen as the Illustrator of the Year at Bologna Children’s Book Fair in 2015 and 2016 as well as being the recipient of the Silver Award at the Nami International Concours and the Golden Plaque Award at the Biennial of Illustration Bratislava (BIB). She is the author and illustrator of 10 Seconds and The Plastic Island. She is the illustrator of the following books: The Memory Photo Studio Next to Cool Tub, Leaving the Green River, The Domestic Duck That Flew Away, If Only Santa Claus Were My Grandpa and My Neighbor, the Tai Chi Master.
