Chae In-seon (F) was born in Hambaek, Gangwon Province in 1962 and attended school in Seoul. In 1984, she graduated from Sungkyunkwan University's Department of French Literature, and worked as editor for more than 10 years. In 1996, she debuted as a writer by receiving the Good Children's Book Award by Changbi Publishing. She has written about 60 books, including picture books and fairy tale books. With Jaimimage, she published My Neighbor Choi Young-dae, Big Hand Grandmother, and A Bike Trip with Uncle.
