Overview

This is a mysterious and horrifying story about a wizard bakery where magical bread is made based on the desires that people have.

Book Intro

(English) The Wizard Bakery

a 16-year-old boy whose father has remarried after his mother has passed away now shares a home with his stepmother and younger stepsister. He has enough troubles with his stepmother as it is, but when he is wrongly accused of raping his stepsister Muhui, he runs away from home. He flees to a neighborhood bakery out of panic, but what awaits him is an astonishing world of fantasy. At a glance, Wizard Bakery looks like any other ordinary bakery, but it is really a place where baked goods are magically created according to the orders of people. As he stays at the bakery, the boy witnesses the selfish behaviours of people who yearn to wield magical powers according to their own wants and desires. Although the wizard baker and his helper, the bluebird, reprimand the boy at times, they also comfort him, which is something that his family never did. But when the police begin to investigate the bakery, the time approaches when the boy must return to reality...

(Japanese) ウィザードベーカリー
