This is a full-length children's book about a lucky boy born on July 7 by author Yoo Eunsil, winner of the Korean Children's Book Award and selected for the IBBY Honour List. In an unusual style for a children's book, the story covers not only Ilsu's childhood but his adulthood into his 30s as well. Yoo has worked on this story for 12 years, starting, restarting, revising, and finally finishing. Needless to say, it's a reflection of the author's own growth as a writer. This work adds a new charm to Yoo's catalogue of unique children's books. It's written in a colloquial style, reminiscent of old-fashioned stories, and full of humor and sarcasm.
This new work, beginning with poop jokes and delivering a message of self-discovery, will show a never-before-seen side to children's stories. The writer speaks through Ilsu.
"Stop insisting that merely doing is enough. What's important is that we discover our self-worth". The authenticity in this message is a testament to Yoo's maturation as a writer and solidification of her stories.

Yoo Eunsil
(English) When she was a kid, her mother worried about her for not reading at all. Then, at some point, she has become a poem-loving teenager, a book-aficionado adult, and even a writer. Her previous book, The Bunting Boy won her "Korean Children's Book Award". Meoljjeonghan Lee Yujeong (Lee Yujeong, the Perfect) was nominated in the "2010 Honour List of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY)". The Last Event describes death and a funeral, rare subjects for a children's book, in a heart-touching and humorous way, being recognized as one of the most outstanding children literatures in Korea. It was published in France. Her other books include Birth of Il-soo; My Hair Smells Like Sunshine; Dear Mrs. Astrid Lindgren; Grandma Margot Came to My House; I Wanna Be a Picky Eater Too; Ms. Mi-ja in My Town and more children's books, and Suburbs for adolescents. She also wrote for illustrated books such as Sim Cheong, and stories of historical men such as Yoo Gwan-soon and Jane Goodall.
(Japanese) 1974年ソウル生まれ。九九は小学校3年生の時、右手、左手は5年生の時、左向き、右向きは高校生の時に覚えた。本をあまり読まない幼少期を過ごしたので、子どもたちが「本をたくさん読まないと作家になれないよ」とうるさく言われるのを見ると、とても申し訳なく思う。『私のリンドグレン先生』、『我が家に来た仙女』、『万国旗少年』を出版し、『万国旗少年』で第28回韓国児童図書賞を受賞。
Seo Hyun
(English) Born in 1982 in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, Seo Hyun is a picture book writer with witty illustrations and stories full of live bold and rich expressions. Seo Hyun graduated from Hongik University with a major in Painting and studied illustration in HILLS. Seo has been trying various expressions with cartoonish imaginations because she has always liked cartoons since she was a little child. Her goal is to create humorous picture books that everyone can enjoy. Picture books with illustrations Seo has drawn include The Strange Keyring, Poop Science Museum and Drinking the Moon. Books Seo has written include Ocean of Tears and Running Electrons and Flowing Electrics.
(French) C'est aussi un voyageur qui vole dans sa tête à la recherche d'un humour caché comme un sifflet jaune. Nous travaillons avec des livres d'images et fabriquons des jouets artistiques. Il a reçu le prix 2017 des publications et de la culture coréennes pour le livre d'images "Chatouillements". Le livre que j'ai écrit et dessiné, "Mer de larmes", a grandi !

Karena ia menyukai membuat dan menggambar sesuatu, saat ini penulis membuat buku bergambar dan mainan berseni. Penulis telah menghasilkan berbagai karya antara lain " Lautan Tangis", "Tambah besar!", "geli".
