Overview

Eight young female novelists who lead Korean literature capture the anxiety felt by women.

Book Intro

Eight young female novelists who lead Korean literature reproduce the anxiety experienced by women living in 2020 in different times and spaces.

The Gothic thriller genre, which delves into human psychology in detail through anxiety in a specific space or relationship, reveals the distorted and rough textures of the mind in a grotesque way and brings the anxiety to the forefront. Reflecting on the various issues of society surrounding this anxiety, the story dismantles and reorganizes hysteria, which has long been considered a female affliction. Through this Gothic thriller genre, readers will be able to restore, in the most literary way, the female narrative that disappeared from our midst. Through the eight Gothic thriller stories in this book, the authors hope to bringing about the sympathy and solidarity needed in this era and properly bring to light the anxiety in the world suffered by the socially underprivileged.
