Prenuptial Contract is a romance story about a man and a woman who are contractually obligated to get married but come to understand each other and move into a mature romantic relationship.

Book Intro

Seunghee Woo is a young CEO who has established a start-up company with her excellent sense of business. One day, she learns that she is contractually obligated to marry Mugyeol Han, an heir of Geumwang Group. If she does not fulfill the contract, she must pay 50 billion won for breach of contract. To avoid getting married, she suggests to Mugyeol that they enter into a prenuptial agreement,  believing that she will not have to get married at least during the time when she is under the prenuptial agreement. However, as she begins to go out with Mugyeol, a master of dating, she falls under his spell. Meanwhile, the conservative Geumwang Han family requires her to be an obedient daughter-in-law. They want her to quit her business and assist Mugyeol once the two get married. Even worse, Mugyeol’s prospective brother-in-law is Jungwoo Myeong, one of her former collage classmates who has always had it in for her. Seunghee tries to avoid Jungwoo, who was one of the ill-natured guys who ranked their female classmates based on their looks, but Jungwoo meddles into her affairs and even spreads bad rumors about her. Despite Mugyeol’s efforts, Mugyeol and Seunghee’s relationship is imperiled like a candle in the wind.

After a short parting and twists and turns, Mugyeol and Seunghee meet once more and attempt to begin a romantic relationship again as mature people without any contract. However, Jungwoo’s greed to occupy Geumwang Group is getting worse, and the rumors spread by Jungwoo about Seunghee’s past is closing in on her by the moment. Can Seunghee be successful in both work and love? Can she and Mugyeol overcome their heartbreaking past and turn the prenuptial agreement into a marriage certificate?
