(French) Princesse de la forêt enjouée
Mon ami préféré vient me voir au jardin d'enfants !
(English) The Funny Sleeping Princess
My best friend is coming to kindergarten to see me! I wore a princess dress and a pink ribbon like Sleeping Beauty and waited for my friend, but I never got a chance to see my friend. Did something happen to her friend?
She wore a dress and pink ribbon just like her friends, but she never got to see her friend. Her friend couldn’t find her because she was wearing the same outfit as everyone else. Princesses of the past would have just waited for her prince charming to find her, but our heroine goes out to find her friend herself. She solves her problem with her own strength. Wouldn't a real princess – a princess of the 21st-century – act this way?
This book conveys the author's wish that girls should no longer wait for their prince and instead become a shining beacon on their own, free from social prejudice.
