Overview

This book is a new travel essay on the people the author encountered on the streets and his thoughts on relationships and love, published after seven years since the publication of Attraction.

Book Intro

(English) The Wind Is Blowing, and I Like You

Lee Byungryul who gained a wide population with Attraction has published a new essay called The Wind Is Blowing, and I Like You. During the past seven years, he often packed his baggage, flew off to other countries, and returned home. His visa is now filled with entry stamps from more than 80 countries.

His journey shows what travel is. If you want to leave again, you must come back first. Then you can stand on a different starting point and let your guard down with a new map. Finally, you can go and meet “people.” Even when the environment changes with new buildings, people always remain unchanged. Yi was always among people, even when he traveled by himself, harboring a warm curiosity about them and longing for them. The Wind Is Blowing, and I Like You resonates more strongly with readers than Attraction with its heartwarming sentiment. Its witty yet thoughtful sentences and emotional photos pluck at the heartstrings of readers. The book may give readers a solitary feeling, but it will never let them become immersed in sorrow. The relentless wind blowing from somewhere will hit them, but their hearts will soon become warm. Readers will shed tears, but not the tears of sorrow.

(Japanese)
