Overview

This book is a unique guide to childcare for emotional engagement by Dr. Kim Younghoon, the top childcare expert in Korea.

Book Intro

A unique guide to childcare for emotional engagement by Dr. Kim Younghoon, the best-selling author of childcare books for 11 consecutive years.
Picture books are the only books that allow skin-to-skin contact between parents and their children. Listening to the stories told by their parents, children enter a journey into various worlds. Sharing the same space and stories with your child is such a delight and joy, it shouldn't be considered work or a tool with a specific purpose. As natural as having a meal each day, reading a story for just 15 minutes -- a small part of the day -- is good enough for your child.
Reading picture books is shown to be effective for children's brain development since it involves interactions between the reader and the child. Listening to a parent tell stories every day benefits a child's brain growth, especially emotional development. This book introduces 340 picture books fit to boost the brain power of children from infancy to preschool.  Parents can choose books according to the age of their child. It also explains how best to read each book and how each book is helpful, guiding you to have the best, emotionally engaging time with your child.
