Book Intro

The book contains a total of five stories on themes of "dolls" and "revived bodies." The protagonist of each story has a bizarre experiences that is "never likely to happen" in their ordinary lives.

"Return of Ghost" begins one day when the main character, who has run a street stall in front of school since being discharged from military service, is visited by one of his successors. This man, whose face is white with fear, tells an unbelievable story about a deceased comrade who died on the battlefield coming back to life. The protagonist now faces the past that he had wanted to turn away from.

"The Glass Doll" is about a son who sneaks a look at father's novel. The "glass doll" that appears in the novel instills fear in the son. Just the sound of glass tapping in the middle of the night starts to eat up his nerves.....

In "A Disappeared Novelist," the protagonist is an unknown horror novel writer. The novelist visits a suspicious mansion with the introduction of a beautiful Madam whom he met by chance. There, the novelist meets another novelist and has a strange experience.

In "A House on the Tomb," one day the protagonist, who works cleaning and purifying foreign objects, receives a cleaning request from a family who has moved to a two-story house on a hill. It is a ghastly home built over the cemetery.

"The City of Revived Bodies" begins as the protagonist opens his eyes in a coffin. The revived people or the living humans, who is the owner of the city?

After reading these five short horror stories, a dark finish remains. The book contains not only horror but also fun and excitement, so the readers will feel a different taste than when reading a horror novel written by a foreign author.
