These stories are cheerful but have a deep literature meaning, which can also resonate with adult readers. An Understanding Person describes the journey of asking and finding an answer to the fundamental questions as a child encounters a magical change of surroundings. A Shooting Star Night is about a child who is enraptured by the word poop and begins to imagine funny things. Later on, this child saw the night sky with shooting stars and was captured by the beauty of it.
An Understanding Person: A fundamental question from a child and the child's amazing enlightenment!
Yeonsu suddenly realizes spring is here on his way to school. Magical changes make everything seem strange and weird. He starts to feel that familiar objects have become foreign, and his questions have been directed to something fundamental. Why is a cat a cat? Why is a spring a spring? Why is a human a human? These questions may be serious questions even for adults. Yeonsu starts his journey with the subtlety of sensing the mysteries of the world, boundless freedom, and liveliness of the nascent to find his answer. Can Yeonsu, who is like shining fresh verdure under spring sunlight, unlock the mysteries of this world?
A Shooting Star Night: When beauty lands at the bottom of our hearts
Stars are pooping? As I was told by my mom that there would be shooting stars that night, I was enraptured by the word poop and started to imagine funny things in my excitement. When I saw the night sky with shooting stars, I was strangely calmed. For the first time, my mind and body were captured by something. That was a feeling of unforgettable beauty that may disappear if we put that beauty in words.
