Book Intro

A jaw-dropping medical disaster fiction written by a medical doctor that denounces uncontrolled human desires.

A Korean plastic surgeon wrote an interesting disaster novel about Propofol, a general anesthetic. Kim Yumyoung, who has been a plastic surgeon for over a decade, made his debut as a writer with Anesthesia.
The protagonist of this story is an anesthesiologist who has a painful memory of losing his patient to malignant hyperthermia triggered by a general anesthetic. While trying to find the truth behind the accident that led an actress to lose consciousness under Propofol, he comes to face a catastrophic disaster caused by a greedy pharmaceutical company. This intriguing novel based on the writer's own experiences absorbs its readers.

A metropolis with 10 million people. As a large number of general anesthesia drugs are discharged after the explosion at the anesthesia factory, the city exposed to smog and anesthetics instantly falls into an endless sleep. A general anesthetic called Hiperlan, which is so strong that gas masks become useless, puts millions of citizens into an unconscious state. Even the president loses consciousness, and the city and the national system are shut down altogether. Despite this unprecedented disaster, some make their way to this city of death to save their loved ones.
