Ojjigi is the fifth of six brothers. Grandmother always confuses Iljjigi (the First), Ggeutjjigi(the Last), and Ojjigi(the Fifth), mother always asks Ojjigi to go on errands, and Ojjigi has to share his birthday with his brothers. So Ojjigi decides to hold a birthday party alone, just for himself. This book looks at love within the family, love among siblings and consideration among neighbors through this special birthday party for Ojjigi. The story helps a child develop an eye for looking at and considering the surroundings and the feelings of others rather than selfishly demanding attention for oneself. It also anticipates the warm touch of parents and teachers who affectionately console children and express their love.
