- Book Intro
-
Is it true that we soon won't be able to see bananas in the supermarket? Through the main character, Sing, and a group of villagers, this book shows the modern-day reality of how the things people need and want are maximized while other things disappear. It is a story about the various diseases that can occur due to monocrop farming and GMOs, which are used to increase food supplies, and warns about the collapsing environment that results. It guides the reader to think about the power of variety over the focus on one particular thing.
