This is a picture book without words that tells a story about life and family through pets.
- Book Intro
-
This book unravels the conflict between Byori (meaning Star in Korean), a puppy who appeared out of nowhere, and Ddalgi (meaning Strawberry), the dog who lost the master’s affection and interest. But the story hits a turn with the event where Byori went missing and emotionally depicts how the two dogs become a true family. By showcasing the process of pets forming a family, like people and animals living as a family despite not being physically related, the story emphasizes that pets are also life and a family member that have thoughts and emotions just like us.

Jeon Jeongsook
Jeon Jeongsook studied Korean Literature in college and now writes and creates books. She is the host of the podcast, "Picture Book Ttattatta" and the co-president of the creative group, "Anakttol."
Ddalgi, who was adopted at three months old, lost her playfulness and charm after giving birth to Byori. She also started to take a step back whenever "the other dog," Byori, did anything to draw the owner’s love for itself. But she still continues to follow her owner and love her baby, Byori. Moved by this sense of dedication shown by Ddalgi, Jeon tried her best to capture it in this picture book. She hopes that readers of this book will think about the true meaning of humans and animals living together.Han Sungwon
