Let's nurture the ability to classify subjects.
Is your child calling a sedan, coupe, and an RV a vehicle? Is your child calling a high speed train, maglev train, and tilting train just rain, or maybe even referring to an oil tanker, gas carrier, ferry, and cruise ship all with the term ship? What about calling airliners and combat aircraft just planes?
If we teach only broader concepts (superordinate concepts) to children, they won't be able to think broader and deeper. Let's nurture their abilities to classify so that they can think deep and broad and grow as leaders in this changing world.
The Encyclopedia of Vehicles, Trains, Ships, and Airplanes is a perfect and fun book that will help children improve their abilities to classify. This book classifies subjects on the ransportation that children love into vehicles, motorcycles, icycles, rains, ships, and airplanes. When it comes to vehicles, this book provides detailed classification categories such as automotives, rucks, and vehicles for special uses. Further, more detailed classification is also provided. For example, automotives have been classified into sedans, RVs, coupes, and convertibles.. Also, motorcycles, icycles, rains, ships, and airplanes have been categorized in detail.
As this book provides similar and different facts about each form of transportation, readers will be able to easily classify each different kind. Children can develop their abilities to categorize subjects as they read The Encyclopedia of Vehicles, Trains, Ships, and Airplanes, which features vivid pictures and funny cartoons.
