A commotion that washes away a heat wave!
A special place where even stifled heart finds relief!
Splash-Splash Bathhouse is where adults become children! As we become adults and set out into our social lives, we learn to wear the clothes appropriate for each role or situation: students wear uniforms, doctors wear doctor’s gowns and police officers wear police uniforms. We wear comfortable clothes when we exercise and formal clothes when we go to a meeting where we need to observe decorum. But at a bathhouse, people of all different ages, with different appearances and jobs and speaking different languages, meet one another after stripping off all the clothes they are wearing. You feel as though, for a moment, you are putting aside the duties and responsibilities of your role or position in society as you undress. In Splash-Splash Bathhouse, people not only take off their clothes but they also strip off the outer clothing on their hearts, which we put on one layer after another as we grow into adults. At the bathhouse, everybody is embarrassed and awkward at first because of all the naked people. This is just like the bashful feeling we get at times when we speak frankly and from the heart to people as we are only familar with people's appearances. The last scene in Splash-Splash Bathhouse, where all the awkwardness and embarrassment have been stripped away after a commotion caused by Junwoo and everybody takes a photo together, refreshes and cools our hearts like a sudden rain shower on a hot summer day. If your heart is sweltering like a sizzling summer's day, how about searching for a place like the bathhouse where people can briefly lay their hearts bare and face each other’s true selves? It might cool your stifling heart a little and get it pumping instead.
